In short

Boxkeeper collects nothing. There is no server, no account, no analytics and no advertising. Your photos, videos and settings stay on your phone and on your own FRITZ!Box.

The app

The app reads the photos and videos in the folders you select and copies them to your FRITZ!Box over your home network. It stores on your phone: a list of what has been backed up, your settings and — encrypted in the phone’s keychain — the access data for your FRITZ!Box. On the FRITZ!Box it stores your photos and videos, a content list with checksums and a copy of your settings. None of this is sent to us or to third parties.

Device backup

Android’s automatic backup or your iCloud/computer backup may include the app’s settings and list, as for any app; that is governed by Google’s or Apple’s terms and your settings. Passwords are excluded from it.

Notifications

Notifications are created on the phone itself. No push service is used.

This website

The website is delivered by Cloudflare, Inc. As with any website, the server processes your IP address and technical request data to deliver the pages and to defend against attacks (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not use cookies, tracking or analytics.

Your rights
